The Self-Reliant Entrepreneur - A Conversation with John Jantsch
On a recent episode of the Industrial and Manufacturing podcast, John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing fame, joined me to discuss John’s philosophy of the self-reliant entrepreneur.
Three key points we talked about:
- Why self-reliance is the key to freedom for entrepreneurs
- Entrepreneurs can only control how they show up, and how they respond
- Self-reliance does not mean complete independence
I absolutely love how John dug deep into 19th century Transcendentalist philosophy and literature to develop a book of daily meditations for entrepreneurs. As I read through the daily meditations I realize how often we let busy-ness substitute for our real business and what we are supposed to be doing.
Thanks John for creating such a relevant and interesting guide, and thanks for sharing it with our listeners.
